Location: Warrington, Cheshire
Salary: GBP60 – 70k, DOE
Contract: Full–Time, Permanent
Hours: 8am–5pm Mon–Fri (1 hour lunch)
Programme Manager – About the role

We are recruiting a Programme Manager to work within our National Frameworks Division. This role will support the Contracts Managers and Framework Manager in the management of all programme co–ordination issues at both project and framework wide level.
Programme Manager – Responsibilities:
The role of Programme Manager will assume responsibility for the overall workstream programmes along with project specific requirements such as risk and time. Core time management, technical, planning and communication skills are essential pre–requisites. Being from a programme background with the ability to strategize, review, update and drive efficiencies within the programme.
Working within the Operational team, the Programme Manager will be will be accountable for the safe profitable and quality delivery of a specific work–stream/simultaneous series of projects (referred to as Programmes) between the Gateways, ensuring completion to the satisfaction of their Line Manager, Customer and stakeholders, and responsible for sustainable, profitable growth of the Framework.
* Health and Safety – ensure all projects are delivered to the highest safety standards in accordance with company standards and applicable legislation.
* Be accountable for the profit and loss performance of the Programme ensuring financial, commercial and operational reporting processes are followed and to provide accurate information and undertaking effective management of change control.
* Ensuring account growth including the development of other business strands and service lines within Morris and Spottiswood.
* Be accountable for the confirmation and implementation of all contractual and commercial arrangements with customers.
* Be responsible for the planning, selection, monitoring and development of all colleagues under your line management responsibility.
* Be accountable for the selection, planning and development of all suppliers under your management responsibility
* Be responsible for the leadership and motivation of all stakeholders associated within the Programme, including colleagues, suppliers and Customer team.
* Develop and maintain an effective Customer relationship management strategy.
* Ensure the effective implementation of the companies Quality Management Systems.
* Act at all times as an ambassador for Morris and Spottiswood and possess strong personal qualities of professionalism and integrity in accord with the Company's visions and values.
* The ability to programme works at both pre– and post–contract stages – is crucial; therefore, Asta Power Project, MS Project or equivalent programming skills is essential.
About you:
The successful individual will be a dedicated and results–driven manager with a successful background in the achievement of profitable and quality–led contracts.
Prior experience in a senior operational role within fast–track retail/banking framework sector is paramount to lead and manage delivery for our prestigious clients.
The individual requires fitout and refurbishment experience in the retail banking sector. It is also desirable that candidates have experience in coordinating contracts with values ranging from GBP50k – GBP2m.
Strong leadership and team management skills, coupled with a decisive problem–solving ability and excellent time management skills are imperative to the role.
You should have excellent communications skills as you will be required to express your opinions both in writing and verbally at internal and external meetings.
In addition, you should be able to demonstrate a good track record of working with clients to meet their expectations as well as to deliver for the business.
Successful candidates must also: –
* Be willing to travel as and when required.
* hold a valid driving licence
* Be fully IT literate in word and excel (at advanced level)
* Have an operational construction background (Essential)
* Hold previous line management experience (desirable)
* Have relevant site and safety certificates and be CSCS card approved
Candidates with Design and build and contractor lead delivery knowledge will have a distinct advantage.
