An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS Trust who are seeking to appoint an Interim Associate Director of Corporate Affairs, for up to 3 months in the first instance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of high–level support to the Trust Board/Committees, ensuring Corporate Affairs are undertaken to the highest standards and according to statutory and legislative requirements.
Candidates must have strong leadership qualities, including experience of Corporate Governance at this level within the NHS.
The role will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at Band 8d/9.
Key responsibilities will include:
Management and delivery of the Board Secretariat function;
Ensure the Trust has sound, integrated corporate governance arrangements, policies, and procedures in place;
Help establish and monitor procedures to ensure that the Trust complies with all relevant legislation;
Lead Corporate Regulatory and Compliance functions across several key areas;
Support the wider Executive team in maintaining the Trust Board Assurance Framework.
The ideal candidate will have:
Post graduate qualification or equivalent, ideally within a Legal or Governance field;
Evidence of formal management development;
Expertise in Corporate Governance conduct principles, legislation and best practice;
Proven experience in writing and presenting highly complex and sensitive information at a senior level;
Strong political awareness, influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills.
