Mainstay are working with a global business who are looking for a Technical Director in the midlands area. This role is pivotal in the development of the division and further growth and strategic vision.
Our client is one of the worlds leading engineering, professional services, and technical consultancy firms, who are passionate about reaching beyond the expected. They are now looking for an experienced Director to join the business support their development and infrastructure. This will be a client facing role with a huge focus on leadership and day to day operational management.
Role:
* As the Technical Director you will be providing strategic direction and leadership with the Development and Infrastructure team.
* You will work in partnership with other colleagues and team members to ensure the coordination across the department, enhancing the shared intelligence.
* You will be promoting and demonstrating best practice and encouraging innovation through engaging with the central technical leadership.
* Ensure that everyone exhibits key core company values and ethics.
* You will be driving the business development and work winning on key accounts to secure new opportunities.
* Supporting bids by reviewing and authorising submissions
* You will act as Project Manager or Director for major projects of key significance.
* Oversight over all compliance, HS and ensure corporate responsibility and the team complies with SHQE.
* Nurturing new talent and mentoring existing team members within the division and business drawing on your key experience.
Candidate:
* Chartered status, CEng, MICE or CIWEM with relevant experience at a similar level
* Broad range of Project Experience both within Discipline and multi–disciplinary
* Strong commercial and strategic capability with strong business development skills and record of identifying new opportunities.
* Able to implement change and improvements and demonstrate strong leaderships skill championing a strong supportive and diverse culture.
* Highly developed Inter–personal skills with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders' clients and various colleagues within the business.
* Forward thinking and dynamic and able to demonstrate innovation with a lead from the front attitude.
* Able to coach and support others as required through training sessions, presentations and workshops.
* Passionate about delivering and exceeding client's expectations cultivating relationships with relevant group both in and outside organisation
