My client, a well–respected organisation in the medical sector are recruiting for Head of Medical Devices Compliance position at their site based in Gateshead Newcastle.
This is a temp role paying a minimum of GBP27.24 per hour
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of medical devices training and compliance. This will include but not be limited to overseeing all aspects of governance, compliance, service performance and risk management associated with your remit.
Summary of the Role:
Service manager for medical devices training services team, accountable & responsible for the delivery of medical devices training and compliance and; ensure all aspects of governance, compliance, service performance and risk management associated with effective and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Service user lead clinically accountable, to develop, deliver and evaluate the medical device training to meet the needs of staff, and service users.
Lead the evaluation of medical device training practice, by monitoring standards and Key Service Metrics and ensuring that performance is audited, and research based to continually improve the service and support the clinical governance framework.
Maintain a high profile within the team, act as a role model and provide senior support and advice
Ensure all equipment is suitable for the purpose for which it is to be used;
Provide specialist advice concerning medical devices training and respond to wards & services.
Ensure equipment is available in sufficient quantities to meet the needs of the organisation's patients, rectify shortages or advise on possible alternatives.
Provides specialist training advice in support of clinical decisions on the provisions of equipment for specific patient groups; bariatric, neonatology etc.
Policy and Service Development
Accountable lead responsible for policy implementation and development for the medical devices training service having wider impacts outside own area of work.
Responsible for proposing & implementing departmental and organisational policies and procedures including ratification of policies.
Budget holder and authorised signatory for department service procurement of physical assets or supplies for department/service
Holds budget, monitoring, control for department, supplies. Knowledge & Skills:
Senior level specialist knowledge gained across range of procedures underpinned by theory including medical devices (E)
Knowledge of medical device safety, control of infection, governance and service provision.
Knowledge in risk management acquired through study
Knowledge of undertaking investigations
Desirable Qualifications
Recognised teaching qualification
Education to degree level or equivalent professional experience
