Harris Pye are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Newcastle on a Permanent basis. The project is a new build EfW project so previous experience in this field is essential.
Key Accountabilities:
* Lead the project team to ensure all works carried out to meet client's requirements and regulatory standards
* Provide leadership and support to project engineers, field engineers and superintendents.
* Maintain liaison with all internal and external stakeholders including client, sub–contractors, consultants to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule
* Monitor and ensure budget for the team is on target, and investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
* Provide progress reports and final reports to management and clients
* Support the unit actively to enable all targets are met
* Recognize, analyze, provide and execute the best possible solution for specific plant outage requirements.
* Assume additional responsibilities, as and when needed by the project and as directed by Project Director
* Estimating the labor and materials required for tendered work based on client supplied specifications.
* To take inquiries from clients (verbal or written) and to carry out site surveys if necessary
* To estimate and prepare a quotation for the specified contracts.
* To arrange and process terms of payment with the client as laid out in the company standard terms and conditions.
* To liaise with the Project Managers, Human Resources and Procurement to arrange necessary labor and purchase materials to carry out the contract to the client's satisfaction and time frame.
* Working strategically to expand new and existing project opportunities
Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
* Degree qualified in Mechanical / Electrical / Process Engineering.
* Prior experience either with Client or EPC Teams on Energy from Waste Power Stations, similar large–scale industrial process plants will also be relevant such as Biomass, CHP, CCGT, Refineries etc
* Minimum IOSH and knowledge of CDM 2015
* Exposure to pre–construction works from design, tender and planning / permitting of projects.
* Experience in managing full site teams (multi–discipline)
* Budgetary experience (full construction program)
* Knowledge of Boilers & Steam Turbines.
* 10 years EPC contracts experience.
* Previous design experience.
Working Hours:
Monday–Friday. 48 hours a week

Negotiable depending on experience
Holidays:
25 days + 8 bank holidays
