Finance Manager, Membership Body / 6-month FTC, paying up to £65,000 plus benefits
Lead technical role for a global membership organisation. You will have both BAU and project work alongside a new FD to fulfil. The role is stand-alone but part of an 8 person finance team.
Lead technical role for a global membership organisation. You will have both BAU and project work alongside a new FD to fulfil. The role is stand-alone but part of an 8 person finance team.
- Manage accounting operations including general ledger, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
- Prepare and publish timely monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Manage month end close process
- Review of all management accounts packs
- Co-ordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Manage and comply with UK and US tax reporting requirements and tax filings (including VAT)
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional controller duties as necessary
- Recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA with strong track record of combined accounting and finance experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures - IFRS as well as management accounting principles and techniques.
- Experience with creating financial statements, VAT and tax reporting
- Experience with general ledger functions and month end close process
- Experience with inventory accounting
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
