A global entertainment organisation is looking for a qualified accountant with relevant post qual experience to join their Global Reporting team in a managerial position.

This media giant has a fantastic reputation for culture and employee engagement and continues to be a major player on a global level. Reporting to the Finance Director this newly created role is an integral part of the team, helping to develop the teams scope and offerings to the business and drive system & procedural change.
The team works closely with a number of operating businesses and supports the board, in both an advisory and analytical capacity. As a team you review, consolidate and analyse financial reports submitted and present on a group level to the senior management team and shareholders. As the Manager the role will focus on the delivery of external financial statements, working with the finance leadership team around the business, advising on complex technical accounting issues and be a key advisor on the Group Accounting Policies, driving & implementing changes as required.

This position is integral to the business and would suit a strong technical manager who wants to work within a vibrant and thriving business. You need to have a strong IFRS knowledge whilst also being highly analytical. You will also need to have exception communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, being comfortable working with the SMT, Board & Shareholders on a daily basis.

The role:
  • Oversee the preparation of, and review, the Group Consolidated Financial Statements under IFRS;
  • Design any models required for the production of financial statements and any Financial System adaptations to ensure a smooth and efficient process;
  • Produce the quarterly Financial Reporting deck and other key analysis on the group external reporting for Senior Management;
  • Develop & Maintain KPIs for reporting processes;
  • Assist Management with any potential IPO procedures;
  • Provide additional off-cycle support to the Director, CFO & SMT;
  • Advise on any technical accounting matters, preparing reports on accounting considerations & conclusions;
  • Maintain the accounting policy book and adherence to any relevant IAS requirements & disclosures;
  • Take the lead on the implementation of the Group Accounting policies;
  • Assist with managing the relationship with the Audit Partners, with reference to the review & analysis of Group Financial Statements.


The person:
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with extensive PQE, ideally with a Big 4 or Top 10 background;
  • Experience of financial reporting with strong IFRS knowledge;
  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills, being able to adapt your approach to your audience;
  • Strong planning & organisational skills, being able to manage multiple deadlines in a pressurised environment;
  • Exceptional at building and maintaining strong working relationships with the team, wider
  • Ability to manage, mentor and develop junior members of the team;
  • Advanced Excel skills, to macro level;
  • Logical approach, ‘can-do’ attitude,
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present complex information to the board in an understandable & digestible manner;
  • A keen interest in entertainment, media or music would be advantageous.
