For over two centuries Molson Coors Beverage Company has been brewing beverages that unite people for all of life’s moments. We produce some of the most beloved and iconic beer brands ever made. While the company’s history is rooted in beer, we offer a modern portfolio that expands beyond the beer aisle.

Our growing beverage portfolio in the UK & Ireland includes Pravha, Staropramen, Blue Moon, Rekorderlig, Aspall Cyder alongside popular favourites Coors Light, Carling - the UK’s number one selling lager, and the UK’s number one selling cask ale - Doom Bar.

We are now looking to recruit a Senior Financial Reporting Manager to be based out of our Burton Upon Trent Head Office.

Your Purpose

As Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll report into the Director of Central Finance and operate as the business controls lead across the organisation, with exposure to all business units. You’ll have the knowledge required to support external US GAAP reporting as well as statutory UK GAAP reporting, ensuring that Molson Coors Beverage Company adheres to the group accounting policies. You’ll also support SOX 302 and 404.

You’ll prepare the financial statements and be the key point of contact for external audit whilst offering ongoing coaching of the broader internal Finance team on latest accounting developments and standards.

Although you will be dealing with technical accounting elements, you don’t need to be an expert, but you will need to understand enough to be able to spot issues and work through any implications.

You’ll effectively network with the wider business to gather information that you need from our shared service centre, UK and US business as well as the team across Western Europe.

The business will look to you for advice on technical accounting issues, including contract review and you will have the responsibility to document treatment of complex and subjective transactions, as well as to provide quarterly guidance to group on business matters that may have implications.

You’ll provide specific support on lease accounting, inter company transactions, dividend transactions and group restructures and you'll co-ordinate month end process across all legal entities in the function including G/L close (SAP) and submissions to group.

Whilst we all continue to work from home in the short term, this role is office based and will eventually require at least 3 days in the office to allow you to better understand the business.

This is a critical role for the business but you can expect a sensible workload with a suitable level of flexibility and balance.

About you

As a qualified accountant who trained in a practice environment, you have excellent accounting knowledge and have experience of working with large organisations.

You have exceptional communication skills and can confidently communicate complex information in a simple and concise manner, particularly when talking to people without a finance background.

You have sound judgement and can work effectively with ambiguity in a complex organisation.

You take a practical approach to challenges, prioritising effectively and making decisions when required.

You’re self sufficient and can capably seek the information you need to succeed.

You stay up to speed with all the latest technical accounting standards and developments which puts you in good stead to advise the business

We use SAP so if you have experience of using this then that is beneficial, but of course, not essential as we will provide any training and support required.

This is a great role for a high performing accountant looking for their first step into industry or similarly, a finance professional that is looking for their second step into an industry role.

We are really passionate about developing our people and this role could be a great stepping stone to a wide range of future opportunities within central and commercial finance.
