Interim Accountant |£50,000 - £60,000 |Manchester (remote working initially)

The Opportunity Are you a versatile 'all-rounder’ looking for a challenging new interim assignment to start immediately? If so we are keen to speak ASAP!

Large privately held group (<£80m turnover) based in the Manchester region have a requirement for a qualified finance professional to support them over the next 6 months.

The role is extremely varied and you will support a range of projects / activities across financial reporting, month end controls and processes, commercial accounting, budgeting and management accounting / P&L analysis. The Head of Finance is looking for brilliant 'extra set of hands’ who will enthusiastically throw themselves into a broad mix of duties over the next 6 months.

The business is amid a period of change and you will assist in ensuring the financial processes, controls and reporting is in the best shape it can be.

You will initially work remotely but it is likely the role will have a mix of office and home working once lockdown conditions become less strict.

This is a well-established but modern-thinking group and they will welcome fresh ideas and suggestions for positive change.

You will be someone who enjoys (and can confidently manage) a range of ad hoc tasks alongside the standard routines and deadlines).

You’ll be working for a highly approachable, supportive and experienced head of finance and alongside qualified peers within management and commercial accounting areas.

You will be:

• A proactive and experienced finance professional able to begin a new assignment at short notice.
• Able to commit to a 6 month contract.
• Able to demonstrate versatility and a wide breadth of experience - management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting.
• Very hands on in your approach - happy to get stuck into reconciliations and unpick /unravel processes where required.
• A confident Excel user.
• Qualified (ACCA / ACA or CIMA).
