This is a Property Litigation position based in Essex for a lawyer with at least 4 years PQE. It is available on a Locum or Permanent basis.

Our client is a Global property development and investment business.
Description
Responsibilities with this role include:
-Applications made under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 & Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002
-Claims made pertaining to service charge, insurance, breach of lease, disrepair and all other matters pertaining to the client's ownership of a large property portfolio
- Residential and commercial property possession claims
-Commercial litigation for group companies
In addition:
Profile
The successful candidate will be a Solicitor or Barrister qualified to practice in England & Wales or another Common Law Jurisdiction with current unrestricted Practising Certificate with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
They will have experience of residential Landlord & Tenant litigation and general commercial litigation.
In house experience will be looked upon favourably but is not a pre-requisite. Private practice training is a pre-requisite. PQE is for guidance purposes only and all levels of PQE will be considered.
The role is available on a temporary (day rate / FTC) or permanent basis.

- Managing a caseload of both pre-litigated and formally litigated matters including but not limited to:
-Applications made under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 & Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002
-Claims made pertaining to service charge, insurance, breach of lease, disrepair and all other matters pertaining to the client's ownership of a large property portfolio
- Residential and commercial property possession claims
-Commercial litigation for group companies
In addition:
- Managing a caseload of property matters including but not limited to Deeds of Variation, Licences & sales
- Managing a caseload of Right to Manage matters
- Managing a caseload of Forfeiture matters
- Managing a caseload of lease extension and enfranchisement matters
- Providing litigation and commercial advice on all aspects of the Group's activities
- Other matters commensurate with the role and as required.
