Finance Director

A Finance Director opportunity offering all of the challenges, opportunities and rewards that can be expected within a successful, PE backed SME.

Our client has a long history and a track record of success. They have recently been acquired by new investors. This brings a positive and exciting future for the business, with investment to expand internationally and grow a first-class management team.

The Finance Director will support the Managing Director and play a key role in delivering on the new business objectives. They will have an abundance of commercial and technical finance skills, excellent leadership skills and will be motivated by the reward and equity package on offer.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Setting and leading all aspects of the financial strategy in line with the investment plan
• Working capital management
• Ensure effective KPIs are in place and monitored
• All aspects of financial and statutory responsibilities
• Main point of contact with bank, auditors and investors
• Leading a complex costing system, working closely with operations and sales leads
• Developing better budgetary & management reporting controls

Key requirements ;

• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years’ PQE
• Depth of leadership skills
• Hands-on, commercial and operationally minded – able to demonstrate the skills to strengthen collaboration between finance and manufacturing operations
• High levels of drive, ambition and energy
• Able to balance the long-term objectives of the business with the day-to-day demands
• Strong and robust personality – experienced in working in a culture of collaboration, results-focus and direct communication
• Motivated by plans for growth – ideally from a very early stage of development
