An excellent opportunity has arisen for an interim Financial & Statutory Accountant to join a Taunton, Somerset based business for a full-time, 6-month fixed term contract role.

Based in Somerset, the business is operating remotely at the moment and will continue to do so with occasional need to be in the office at times going forward.

Your New Role
Key duties and responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
- Statutory accounts preparation for main company and subsidiaries
- Assisting with the statutory audit process - preparation of schedules & information requests for the interim and year-end statutory audits
- Working with Auditors
- Month and year end finance support across the team
- Developing an understanding of the reporting systems and controls and make improvements where required
- Analysis of new accounting standards and their impact on the Company
- Supporting the implementation of best practice reporting & new reporting requirements
