To provide contract and commercial related legal services to the European subsidiaries, as well as to their Headquarters is vital.

Description

Provision of prompt and detailed legal advice in relation to relevant legal questions and documentation, in particular:

(i) Preparation and negotiation of all commercial contracts, heads of agreements and associated documentation for the provision of business to business AdTech, advertising and media products and other commercial projects, providing advice on legal and commercial risks, potential impacts and propose mitigating actions;

(ii) Preparation and negotiation of supplier contracts for systems and software required for provision of systems for underlying platforms;

(iii) Seeking and coordinating input where necessary from other colleagues (particularly data protection team) and the business (e. Finance, Tax teams, Product & Engineering etc.);

(iv) Help develop and understand risk mitigation strategies for contractual risks;

(v) Develop and maintain precedent agreements and all relevant end user documents;

(vi) Support and assist in project management of ad hoc projects as they arrive;

(vii) Support the business with advice in respect of app and product development and the entry into new markets;

(viii) Working alongside other divisions and team members within the EO Legal team to support ESBO;

(ix) Assist the business in responding to complaints and queries from end users;

(x) Represent Samsung in internal and external meetings with key partners;

(xi) Assist (through the provision to the Co-Heads of EO Legal & Compliance of project updates and related content) as necessary with reporting to the Europe Office Management Team; and

More generally, the candidate will work with and support the Co-Heads of EO Legal & Compliance, as well as being responsible for the management / development of the relevant paralegals within the Team assigned to work on contract matters.

Profile
  • Experience in a top tier Law Firm or major provincial firm.


  • Strong experience in contract negotiation and drafting,


  • Strong overall grasp of general commercial matters;


  • Advising global consumer products brands.


  • In-house experience is desirable.

Candidates are expected to be patient, pragmatic, flexible, good communicators, detail focused, culturally aware/ sensitive and be able to explain legal issues in clear terms that are easily understood. They need to be able to work under their own initiative to enable the business unit achieve its targets, although the role is to function and be integrated within a small and close knit legal team.
