Research Contracts Locum
My client is a large organisation based in the West Midlands that is looking for a commercial contracts specialist to join their in-house legal services offering. As a research contracts locum you will be tasked with managing a range of commercial contracts on behalf of the organisation. You will complete all work necessary on files, so must have a proven track record of negotiating and amending commercial and research contracts, being able to work autonomously. You must be able to advise at all levels within an organisational structure, and negotiate when faced with occasional opposing viewpoints.
The legal services team you will join covers all specialisms, and you would be one of 2 commercial contracts lawyers, so must be able to work without the need for supervision.
The work is varied and includes a broad range of contractual matters, including:
- NDAs
- MTAs
- Collaboration agreements
- Grant funding agreements
- General purchasing agreements for software, IT, telecoms, goods etc.
- Partnership agreements
This is a fantastic role for someone who has previous NHS, HE or in house experience. You must be able to work a 4 or 5 day week and all work will be carried out remotely for the foreseeable, due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. To apply, or for an informal discussion, please contact Kate Jasper in our Manchester Office.
