Temp role supporting local government, Ideally qualified & varied experience, financial & management accounts
Your new company
This organisation is a council in the Lancashire Borough, and one whom like most, are facing challenges like never before, and as such are needing support within their finance team on a temporary basis.
Your new role
This role will support the Head of Finance in a number of areas, tasks will be varied and will change often directed to you by the head of finance. Essentially your role will be to assist in minimising the organisations cash flow costs, provide support to the production of their month end financial accounting reporting pack and assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. You may also assist in the statutory accounts and any ad hoc projects and investments.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, with some form of local government experience (but this isn't essential) and you must be able to take direction well. Given this is a supporting role, in an ever changing environment, you must be able to work with initiative with the ability to follow instruction with ease. Adaptable to new systems is vital, so evidence of this must be shown if you don't have the relevant government experience.
