Accountabilities:
- Effectively lead, develop and maintain projects within the Finance department
- Be responsible for the short term (1-2 years) and medium term (3-5 year) strategic planning for projects
- Engage with colleagues outside finance to support the adoption of Group change in technology and operations
- Challenge project managers, and have the difficult conversations and champion approaches that lead to greater results
- Support the delivery of comprehensive projects involving system and financial reporting improvements, business growth and financial control embedding across multiple systems and other finance teams
- Support the establishment of common practices, good governance, risk monitoring and reporting for all finance projects
- Work across the finance function to understand emerging issues, particularly engaging with other change functions
- To manage key strategic stakeholders in all finance projects
- Supporting projects being delivered by coordinating cross-functional project teams, and where appropriate being the dedicated finance business champion.
- Be responsible for project portfolio reporting to finance executive
- Line management of established team of project managers, developing as required
- Ad hoc duties which often arise
- Required skills and abilities expected to perform this role:
- Experienced Senior Project Manager who has a proven track record supporting Finance Transformation, Finance Systems Implementation and Finance Business Growth projects
- Demonstrate strong background in project delivery to deadlines
- Ability to switch approach between the strategic view and getting into the detail
- Innovative thinker with the ability to build solutions and develop own ideas
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Background within a finance function to give insight as to operations
- Clear communicator with an ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Comfortable working in an ever-evolving international environment resulting in continual change
