Axon Moore are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant for a 6 month interim role with a leading Preston based organisation.
The roles purpose is to ensure that the Group’s Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance are accurate, complete and meet the required standard of a regulated Financial Services sector business.
Preparing statutory financial statements for group companies within your remit together with the group consolidation. Liaison with directors for preparation of the directors and strategic reports
Duties:
The roles purpose is to ensure that the Group’s Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance are accurate, complete and meet the required standard of a regulated Financial Services sector business.
Preparing statutory financial statements for group companies within your remit together with the group consolidation. Liaison with directors for preparation of the directors and strategic reports
Duties:
- Management of month end reporting process and production of monthly management account pack
- Liaison with auditors and meeting their request in an accurate and timely manner
- Be responsible for ensuring that consolidations and intra-group balances are kept up to date and reconciled
- Ensure that balance sheet accounts within your remit are reconciled on a regular basis with appropriate review
- Responsibility for Tax compliance for the Group – (Includes Partially Exempt Vat and Corporation Tax)
- Regulatory reporting for the Group
- Ensure the department stays up to date with technical accounting changes
- Other tasks including - Company secretarial liaison, banking liaison, insurance management, and other ad-hoc tasks / projects
- Qualified Accountant preferably ACA Big 4 / Top 10
- Academically strong with a track record of achievement
- Strong PC skills
- Technical mind set
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Willingness to use initiative and work without detailed instructions
- Comfortable with strict deadlines
