Our client plays a key role in preventing infections and saving lives. Their flagship products are disinfectant wipes and hand gels that are number one in the NHS – you'll find their products in most UK hospitals. Now, as infection prevention has become a national priority, employers want to provide these products to protect their staff. This has led to a new role in their sales team for a commercially astute Business Development Manager to build and grow the company brands in the B2B & Corporate space.

What will you do?

Target and identify opportunities to establish new relationships with B2B customers across any industry in FTSE 250 organisations
Develop prospects from opportunity through to winning business and implementation
Have a strategic approach to nurture and maintain long term customer partnerships
Drive year or year sales growth from new and existing accounts
Provide added value services and act as trusted advisor for our products
Negotiate at a high level with autonomy to secure new business
Collaborate with the marketing team to design a credible, robust and long term B2B growth strategy
Partner with supply chain colleagues to create an accurate stock demand plan
Represent company brand and live our values: Passionate, supportive & caring, win together, curious & innovative and have fun!

What will you need?

Previous success managing FTSE 250 corporate accounts and B2B customers is essential
Experience selling consumable products is essential
Demonstrable experience of creating successful key account B2B partnerships with year–on–year growth
Evidence of previous sales training (internal or external) is highly desirable
Demonstrate knowledge of progressive sales and key account management practices and be able to showcase how these have been applied in previous roles
Effective communication and negotiation skills at a strategic level
Previous success building strong relationships with multi–site customers
Experience selling directly to customers as well as through other channels
Strong numerical skills to understand and calculate margin, trading terms and broader sales negotiation variables
Successful experience working cross–functionally to drive continued sales growth
An appetite to work in a fast–paced environment as part of a connected team
