Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their busy Civil Infrastructure team in Belfast due to an increasing pipeline of work within a range of sectors, but primarily Public Realm, Environmental Improvement Schemes and Greenways. Our Client established their practice in 1963 and has an enviable client base built on fostering partnerships and building relationships within Public and Private Sector and the supply chain. They successfully deliver prestigious construction projects within Education, Leisure, Infrastructure (Road and Water), Residential, Environmental and Commercial sector.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
To lead and deliver projects for our clients, as part of the Civil Infrastructure team through concept and detailed designs, planning, procurement and construction on a variety of civil infrastructure projects including public realms, large greenways, environmental improvement schemes, housing layouts and other civil engineering infrastructure schemes.
Tasks will include management of internal and external design teams, project management, client and stakeholder communication and consultation, report writing, programmes, procurement of specialist services and main contractors, NEC contract administration, quality control and other job related tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the Civil Engineering Team, under the guidance of senior team members and with the support of a design team you will undertake the following duties:
Manage preparation of conceptual, schematic and detailed design solutions for various elements of civil infrastructure engineering work,
Liaising and co–ordinating with clients, design team members, both in house, other offices and/or external consultants,
Assisting clients with achieving statutory approvals,
Chairing design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate,
Assisting in the preparation of drawing lists, programmes, specifications and progress reports using Microsoft Office software,
Managing and leading procurement of contractors on behalf of clients,
Undertaking the role of NEC Project Manager throughout construction,
Any other relevant engineering / management duties as may be required from time to time and as determined by Directors.KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
Applicants must have a degree in civil engineering, landscape architecture or related construction discipline,
Applicants must be Chartered or approaching Chartership status with a recognised body or institution,
Project Management experience, including NEC contract administration and ability to work effectively under pressure, to deadlines and as part of a team,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Desired
Experience in public realm / greenways / civil infrastructure projects would be advantageous but not essential,
7–10 years' experience in a similar role,
NEC Accreditation,
Previous design office experience.What you will receive: :
