UP TO GBP30,000 BASIC

UNCAPPED COMMISSION (OTE GBP70,000) + SALARY INCREASE AFTER PROBATION + MORE

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading R&D Tax Consultancy who are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their successful team. The company has enjoyed exceptional success in recent years and are ready to grow their team to match demand.

You will be responsible for the acquisition of new clients, attending meetings and negotiating contracts with senior decision makers. You must have a good understanding of the sales process, alongside the willingness to learn about R&D Tax Relief scheme and other services that my client provides.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a highly successful company, with excellent opportunities for progression and high earnings. You will ideally have a background in R&D Tax or financial services, however my client would be interested in proven salespeople from other backgrounds.

THE ROLE:

Acquiring new business through proactively researching and identifying potential clients via email/phone
Book your own meetings before giving sales presentations to clients
Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators
Negotiate contracts with prospective clients before closing the sale
Answering client questions regarding services, prices and timescales
Preparing and submitting client contracts
Manage accounts, regularly touching base with the client and renewing contracts
Coordinating sales efforts with marketing strategies
Continually build and validate a database of contacts
Meeting and exceeding KPI's and sales goalsTHE PERSON:

This role is suited to a confident, results driven individual who has a minimum of 3 years sales experience in a past paced role. The following attributes are desirable:

Previous experience within the financial sector, e.g. Tax or Accountancy experience
Knowledge of R&D Tax, grant and Patent Box is advantageous however training will be provided
Commitment to learning quickly in the field of business
Comfortable speaking with senior decision makers
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with clients quickly
Proven sales experience with an excellent record of achieving sales targets
Genuine drive and ambition to succeed in sales
