The Company: A well–established and leading manufacturing business with a turnover of circa GBP180M.
Role Purpose: Provide financial and performance information relating to Operations encompassing all aspects of Production Performance, Cost Control, Sales and Margin. To support the formulation of the annual budget and monthly rolling forecasts. To provide financial support to the wider business, especially with regards to cost reduction or development projects.
Accountabilities: Responsible for accurate recording and forecasting of material and cost control in all operational areas. Be a 'critical friend' and effective partner to the operational areas of the business
Key Responsibilities:
* Weekly update of the Production Financials pack and subsequent review of KPIs with Production Managers
* Supervise the reconciliation of the weekly payroll costs into the General Ledger and Production Financials
* Provide financial support to the Production & Maintenance department with regards to Capex requests and monitoring monthly overhead expenditure.
* Update of the Production Schedules in the Month End Accounts Pack
* Assist with the completion of the monthly Manufacturing Variances & Commentary pack
* Calculation & Maintenance of Production Standard Labour Costs
* Responsible for the maintenance of the Fixed Asset register and associated planning & reporting activities.
* Supervise the Stock Accounting valuation and reconciliation processes.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information is maintained in core systems.
* Support the completion of quarterly forecasts and annual budget.
* Provide support to the planned ERP implementation and development of the revised processes and analysis the new system will bring.
* Day–to–day supervision and assignment of tasks for direct reports.
* Support the Finance Director and wider Finance Team with ad–hoc requests / activities.
* Provide financial support to other Functions / Projects as and when required.
* Investigate and Report any Financial Risks or Opportunities identified during the above activities.
Experience & Qualifcations:
* Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
* ?????????????????????Operational, Finance & Business Partnering experience ideally within a manufacturing environment (or similar).
* High level of IT & Systems Skills (especially Excel & PowerPoint).
* Possess high levels of operational awareness.
* Ability to work with cross functionally across the organisation.
* Good interpersonal and communication skill with great attention to detail.
* Working to tight deadline, ability to self–manage and be proactive.
* Foster continuous improvement activities.
