Head of Software Engineering – 100% Remote – GBP100,000 – GBP150,000 Basic Salary + Excellent Benefits
Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Software Engineering to join a large financial services firm. We need someone with experience of expanding a development and engineering capability in order to support the business's full–scale digital transformation.
This is not a hands on coding role, however you will be required to get involved at code level from time to time to help educate the team on best practice.
Experience Required:
• Expertise and experience in leading teams in delivering products and projects in a variety of methodologies, with a particular focus on Scrum.
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful projects / products throughout its lifecycle.
• Experience of managing front end, back end, data engineering, QA and Platform software engineers
• Experience of managing an Agile team.
• Senior stakeholder management skills
Role & Responsibilities:
• Play a proactive role in proposing technologies, tools & approaches
• Identify and manage engagement risks and flag major issues early
• Ensure adequate process control
• Own and operate one or more engineering teams
• Manage the delivery of a number of software developers
