Head of Governance
Are you looking for an exciting new role? Perhaps with a reputable Housing Association? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Governance based in Kent.
Salary: GBP65,000 per annum
Interview date: 20th of January 2021
This new role will focus on re–enforcing strong corporate governance and assurance. It will be key to assuring the business foundations are safe, providing Board level assurance on regulatory compliance, meeting evolving standards for consumer regulation and delivering value for money. As the company modernises their service offer and invest in technology to support their ambitions, you will enhance their assurance framework to manage new risks associated with 'business change'.
The main duties of the role are as followings:
Provide the highest standards of corporate governance to boards and committees and clear guidance and direction on The Companies Act, The Charities Act and other regulations relating to housing.
Lead on horizon scanning and organisational risk management. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that management decisions and actions take account of risk.
Develop and implement change management assurance to support the strategic plan delivery
Maintain all the required governance registers and associated policies and procedures.Requirements
Qualified or part qualified Company Secretary or demonstrable experience in a regulated sector.
Strong, up to date, professional knowledge of the legal and policy frameworks in which Housing Associations operate
Proven management experience of the Data Protection legislation.
Proven management experience of assets and liabilities register requirements.
