Are you experienced Project Manager, familiar with building capability and delivering the full project lifecycle within safety critical industries?
Would you be interested in making an impact on a major environmental project, central to dealing with the challenge of storing and managing radioactive waste in the UK?
We are looking for three Senior Project Managers to join Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) to develop technical capabilities for site specific designs, safety case and site characterisation for the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF).
As a Senior Project Manager, you will;
* Deliver project management for all aspects of RWM's key Technical projects in the GDF programme.
* Own risk and issue management across projects and the programme to ensure risks and issues are managed proactively effectively
* Own the management of scope, schedules, assumptions, and dependencies across projects and the GDF Programme to ensure effective configuration and change control.
* Identify and manage stakeholder relationships, including effective communications, concerning the GDF Programme, with NDA sites and other industry stakeholders, with key feedback loops to ensure lessons learned are communicated.
* Support the wider programme and project management capability development in RWM, including the mentoring/coaching of staff to help increase the programme and project management maturity of RWM.
The GDF is a complex piece of infrastructure that is predominantly underground so core skills of quickly grasping technical design work is essential (engineering design, tunnelling techniques, ventilation, surface facilities, receipt of waste packages, choice of emplacement method etc).
This is an opportunity for you to bring your experience of leading and delivering complex high value projects (GBP1m+ and within highly regulated environments) and be comfortable implementing change within your team.
About RWM:
RWM's vision is to create a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.
RWM's mission is to deliver a Geological Disposal Facility and provide radioactive waste management solutions. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the NDA, RWM's programmes of work deliver Government Policy, and NDA Strategy, for radioactive waste management
