Head of Manufacturing – FMCG Manufacturing – North Devon area – GBP60,000 – GBP70,000 + Car + bonus + benefits
OUR CLIENT
Is a leading North Devon based FMCG manufacturing business with a large portfolio of products. Their North Devon facility requires a Head of Manufacturing to take full operational control of the manufacturing facility.
THE ROLE
The position will have full responsibility for the Manufacturing and Engineering parts of the operation amounting to approximately 100 indirect personnel through a line of direct Managers. You will have full responsibility, so you will be extremely close to the numbers and be constantly looking to improve site metrics. These changes will only be successful if the appointed person has first class engagement skills to ensure all employees are bought in to the changes and feel they are both involved and included in the process. There is scope for improvement to KPI's relating to labour, OTIF, waste and efficiency through engagement and the introduction of robust systems.
THE PERSON
You will be an experienced Manufacturing professional who can introduce robust systems relating to SQCDP and the improvement of performance through regular review and RCA implementation.
You will strive for high standards and have a transferrable skill set looking constantly for root causes and 100–year fixes. You will be highly visible from the shop floor and be comfortable actively coaching staff and driving improvements across the manufacturing operation. You will be stand alone and relish the opportunity to drive operational best practice in a hands–on manner.
THE SALARY
Up to GBP70,000 + Car + bonus + benefits
