Head of Technical – Residential
GBP80k + Car Allowance + Generous Benefits Package
Location: Birmingham
I am proud to be representing one of the fastest–growing residential developers in the UK to find their new Head of Technical! Due to the level of work they have in the Midlands area both currently and in the pipeline they are seeking a Head of Technical to lead, manage, and mentor the Design/Technical team.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Regional Director you will be given responsibility for both the region's projects and full technical department, coordinating the design process from inception to completion, and deliver buildable design solutions in collaboration with the commercial and site teams.
The ideal candidate will have a track record in delivering residential schemes and a practical, pro–active, and efficient approach to design development with strong technical and construction knowledge. As well as managing the team you will be expected to: Give expert advice at the pre–contract stage on, design feasibility, value engineering, construction techniques, and more. Produce and review Pre–construction programs, assist the Bid team with design information and planning, and ensure a high level of quality and cost–effectiveness
Requirements
Recent experience working for a residential developer/contractor
Track record of managing a Design/Technical Team
Experience working on mixed tenure, private spec housing, and extra care accommodation.
Educated to Degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
Salary: GBP70,000 – GBP80,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits Package
