Business Development Manager – Construction/HVAC
Evangelist role establishing ground–breaking low energy technology in the UK and Ireland
Home–Based anywhere in the UK
GBP60,000 – GBP70,000 Base + Car + Significant Six figure OTE
Our client is a division of a major international company that wishes to establish a footprint in the UK and Ireland for their innovative, green products. Their technology reduces building energy consumption and is also significantly easier to install than existing traditional technologies, so both building owner and contractor gain substantial advantages. Once the UK template is established, the company plans to role out the model across Europe and farther field. In order to achieve their ambitious objectives, they wish to hire a Business Development Manager.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
* Developing relationships with architects, consultants, building designers and other specifiers to evangelise the new technology
* Identifying and appointing a network of channel partners and distributors capable of taking the product to the market and with the necessary skills to support the product locally
* Ensuring that channel partners/distributors are adequately trained in the new technology and supported with marketing material
* Delivering revenue and margin growth through distributors and other channel partners
* Providing market and competitor assessments and reports back to head office
* Providing monthly sales forecasts
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience of appointing and managing distribution partners within the HVAC or wider construction sector
* Experience of working with consultants and specifiers in the M&E or wider construction sector with an understanding of how to get products specified
* This is a "first boots on the ground" role so the ability to work remotely and be self–motivated is essential
* Good commercial nous
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
In return for your skills and experience you can expect to earn a good six figure package, but more importantly you will establish a brand new, green, low–carbon technology in the UK. Career opportunities will then exist as the exercise is repeated across the European region and beyond
