The Company
Joshua Robert Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an Interim Head of Property Disposal to join a forward–thinking Local Authority in the Midlands.
The Role
To undertake performance reviews of both commercial and operational properties to identify opportunities to maximise capital receipts, while minimising impact upon revenue budgets
To bring forward proposals to the Asset Rationalisation Board, to increase and/or accelerate the AR programme
To oversee the disposal process, ensuring that the method of disposal provides the best possible return and that the overall process operates as quickly and effectively as possible
To liaise with the corporate finance capital team to monitor finance impact of the programme
Using the Council's land and property assets to support and enable regeneration projects and inward investments and providing advice and support to colleagues engaged in regeneration activities
Supporting the Strategic Asset Management function in delivering key property objectives for the Council including maintaining accurate property records for all investment properties
Directly line managing a team of professional, technical and support staff within an integrated service delivery model.
The Candidate
Chartered Surveyor with a level of experience commensurate with the post
Thorough understanding and significant experience of developing and managing strategic management of the property in a large complex organisation
Significant experience of developing and managing an extensive property portfolio to meet multiple objectives (including sustainability of stock, generation of receipts, maintenance of income and support for commercial property development)
Substantial experience of creating, delivering and monitoring of property disposal
Experience of valuation, estate management, negotiation and provision of advice on all types of property and their associated transactions
Experience of developing and utilising data and financial modelling techniques for business planning and evaluation
