My client are a fast growing management consultancy and are looking for a Management Accountant for 3 months.
Duties Include:
- Delivering monthly and weekly margin reporting on a timely basis. Full review of information prior to distribution to enable prompt response to any queries/questions arising.
- Maintaining and reviewing up-to-date monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Supporting the Group FC on production of monthly management reports including consolidation.
- Measure and comment against KPIs.
- Provide insightful commentary on P&L deviations from budget/forecast.
- Proactively support Operational Managers / Directors providing information, analysis and trending.
- Preparation of non-routine reports.
- Arrange monthly stock counts and perform quarter end counts.
- Analysis of key P&L accounts and margins and follow up with operational teams on any unusual items/amounts.
- Overhead accruals: review amounts under rent, rates, utilities, etc. in P&L and make appropriate accruals.
- Working with Operations to manage multiple Work Packages including reporting, invoicing, reconciliation and monitoring of PO balances
Requirements:
- Experience of a multisite / contract environment, ideally in the Recruitment, Rail or Construction sector
- Comfortable working in a fast moving, routine environment
- High level of accuracy and an eye for detail
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivots, IFS, Macros, etc)
- Familiar with accounting packages. Current system used is Access Dimensions
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong character, able to challenge and request information in a constructive way
- Newly/Part Qualified Accountant. PQ would be required to complete qualification over a reasonable period of time. Study assistance available.
