At CGI, we are at the forefront of developing and implementing technologies and business processes that will shape tomorrow's banking marketplace and after a rapid period of growth are searching for an experienced and ambitious Director of Pre–Sales Solution Architecture for Banking and Financial Markets.

Reporting to the Head of Banking & Financial Markets this is a pivotal strategic role, responsible for shaping CGI's future vision and go–to–market strategy for Banking and Financial markets.

Your future duties and responsibilities
•You will be operating at C–Suite level in front of senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Working in partnership with Engagement and Sales Teams you will translate business vision and requirements into solution architectures, setting out compelling propositions and converting opportunities into sales.
•You will develop and take ownership of the technical aspects of CGI's future vision and go–to–market strategy for Banking and Financial markets.
•You will design and build the ecosystem of services and solutions, seeking out and developing third party partnerships whose offerings complement those of CGI.
•Translation of business requirements into solution architectures and the writing of winning technical proposals and RFP responses
•As Chief Architect you will be responsible for the design and technical leadership of proof of concept exercises and the presentation of CGI proposals and offerings to new and existing CGI clients.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The ideal candidate will have spent the majority of their career working for institutions and/or vendors in the Banking & Financial Markets sector. They will follow industry trends and be driven by the opportunities provided by fin–techs and Open Banking to revolutionise and re–imagine banking. This drive will help you lead the building out an ecosystem of services and solutions, seeking out and developing third party partnerships whose offerings complement those of CGI.

You will have worked on the design and development of modern IT infrastructures, with a focus on cloud deployments, resilient architectures and strong security designs. You will ideally have worked with more than one cloud provider and be able to compare and contrast their respective offerings. You will have had lead technology roles in the digital transformation of organisations at which you have worked, including design and implementation of loosely coupled architectures, interfacing with best of breed 3rd party solutions as well as core systems. Ideally you will have had significant exposure to open source technology stacks including those used in Open Banking in the UK.

You are a team player with a proactive, can–do attitude. You will probably have come from a technical background, most likely in software development and have experience of developing architectural solutions on a variety of initiatives from small POCs to large enterprise deliveries. Having risen up the ranks you will have gained valuable experience of the sales process and think nothing of rolling your sleeves up and leading the development of technical proposals, RFP responses and proofs of value.
