First People Solutions are currently looking to speak with experienced Director level candidates for a client who are going from strength to strength in the Utilities, Fibre and Telecoms sector. Due to the continual growth they are seeking to add a Director / Managing Director to the business as they aim for the next progression.
As Director, you will have overall responsibility for all operational functions for the Utilities, Fibre/Telecoms projects / frameworks throughout Scotland.
You will be responsible for the full delivery of operational functions against budget, implementing new initiatives to improve the cost effectiveness, efficiency and service to the client. Through a team of Managers, you will provide an operational platform to enable the successful delivery of our projects/contracts.
Ensuring that the operation performs effectively and efficiently on a daily basis and complies with all Health and Safety and contractual regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a strong management team to help manage all activities across the operation.
Responsible for delivering the operational P&L of the projects/contracts.
Driving a rapidly growing company toward future ambitions
Develop a culture of continuous improvement across the region in order to improve the P&L, service and efficiency of the collective team.
To ensure all operational procedures are followed throughout the sites / contracts and through direct reports are achieved effectively and within budget
Overall delivery of the operational plan to required cost and service parameters.
To liaise with and understand multiple department requirements
Through regular Operations Meetings keep your team fully informed of performance, expectations and any new developments.
To play a key role in the implementation of all new business & procedures, communicating with all relevant departments throughout the process to ensure a smooth integration into the business
Maintain and contribute to a working knowledge of current legislation, and company policies and contractual regulations
Requirements:
Previous experience within a Director level position previously or very strong Senior/Operational Management role looking for the next step in their career.
Strong knowledge / experience within the Fibre/Telecom/Utilities sector
Extensive experience of managing high performing teams, across business–critical contracts
Previous exposure to working with/supporting a rapidly growing business
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
IT Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Full UK Driving License
