A pioneering software house in Birmingham are currently offering the opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to lead a number of development projects in a broad, all–encompassing role. Joining a close–knit and collaborative team, the successful Programme Manager will be responsible for running day–to–day operations, coaching the team, ensuring outstanding delivery to the client and strengthening the project planning and control processes.
Programme Manager (Software House)
The Programme Manager will be responsible for partnering closely with clients to oversee the design, build and support of software solutions. You should be a highly organised leader with a track record of strategic planning and big picture thinking. Since the projects will vary significantly in terms of scope and requirements, a pragmatic and flexible approach to project delivery is key. The team of 12 includes Business Analysts, Developers, QA and a Data Scientist so this role will particularly suit a Programme Manager with a background in small, close–knit companies
Key Requirements
Along with a thorough understanding of project and programme management, the successful Programme Manager will need to demonstrate:
Proven experience in a Programme Management capacity delivering a wide range of projects
Background working in small, close–knit companies with a participative leadership style
Outstanding relationship management, client engagement and business partnering skills
Flexible, pragmatic approach to project delivery
IT, software product experience, along with strong understanding of the SDLC, is nice to have but not essential
The position is currently 100% remote, at least until Easter 2021, following which the business will adopt a flexi–hybrid approach. When travel becomes more feasible, there will be regular face–to–face meetings with clients in London etc so flexibility will be key too.
The role will offer genuine variety and challenge in a relaxed, friendly and colaborative enviornment. You'll play a key, strategic role in the continued growth of the business. There is no red tape or bureaucracy, just a common drive to deliver outstanding solutions to clients. In addition to a salary of GBP60–70k, the business offer a competitive pension, comprehensive healthcare and any training or resources necessary to support your continued growth.
