Bury has transformed its approach to health and social care integration having recently established a joint commissioning organisation and local care organisation that will help deliver the place–based aims of the Bury 2030 Strategy. Working within the wider Greater Manchester footprint with devolved budgets, Bury are well–positioned to create and deliver an integrated system that meets our borough's future needs. Bury is also a place that is undergoing significant regeneration, creating physical space that meets the aspirations of residents.
Reporting to the joint Chief Executive of the Council and the Accountable Officer of the CCG, the Executive Director of Finance will be crucial in bringing the two organisations closer together both
operationally and culturally, being responsible for pooled budgets and a programme of system integration. As a key member of the Executive Team for the Council and CCG, you will provide high standards of accounting, governance and audit. You will maximise financial resources through a strategic approach to managing budgets, engagement of partners and suppliers, and scrutinising performance and demand in consultation with elected members and the CCG board. You will also
provide financial leadership across the authority, supporting service delivery and optimising outcomes.
We are looking for someone with broad finance experience gained in either/both local government and the NHS, and significant experience of organisational and strategic leadership.
You will demonstrate success in working across systems and beyond organisational boundaries. With a track record of delivering transformational change in complex environments with a range of
stakeholders, you will be motivated by the opportunity to improve health and wellbeing outcomes, delivering value for the people of Bury.
