We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operational Project Manager to join our Technology & Change department.
Reporting into the Programme Director for the Contact Centre transformation, the role of a D&G Contact Centre Project Manager is to support the Sponsor to deliver all aspects and phases of a project. The project manager co–ordinates the day–to–day activity, including scope, design and implementation and ensures delivery of the agreed objectives within agreed tolerances to time, cost and quality targets. They manage a matrix team and third–party suppliers where applicable, as well as work with multiple business teams and areas to ensure the successful outcome to the projects under their control.
About The Role:
* Working with the Sponsor, Programme Director and resource owners to agree resourcing required to deliver the project.
* Work with the Project Sponsor to set up the Project with clear definition and measurable success criteria and outcomes.
* Establish dynamic and action / decision orientated governance disciplines throughout the lifecycle.
* Establish and oversees project controls to provide early indication of any risks impacting ability to deliver required outcomes within agreed tolerances.
* Delivery of all phases of assigned projects to time, cost and quality targets to achieve the agreed goals of the project.
* Discuss resource needs with the relevant resource owners and provide regular accurate resource demand forecasts into the resource management process.
* Manage the day–to–day relationship with the business customer and communication with key stakeholders.
* Day to day responsibility for ensuring project costs are managed and controlled within agreed budgets.
* Proactively ensures that appropriate change management considerations have been built into delivery plans.
* Ensure the delivery of new products or services from the project is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan and agreed success criteria.
**Please note that initially, the role will be based working from home but will move to a hybrid model of home and office–based working in the future.

* Techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects with practical experience of rolling these out within a project environment.
* Excellent facilitation skills; creates and sustains a participatory environment, both in meetings and in everyday project work, encouraging others to contribute.
* Outstanding stakeholder management skills and ability to engage at all levels.
* Experience of Agile delivery and Waterfall delivery.
* Commercial acumen and ability to build robust business cases.
* Strong knowledge and experience of project delivery lifecycles and methodologies.
* A good understanding of Business Analysis and Test Management processes.
* A good understanding of software development and implementation processes.
