We're now accelerating our impact, working with the NHS to further develop and embed genomic healthcare and research in Britain. Job Description
You'll be suited to this role if you are a skilled Communications leader, with the ability to build and implement engagement strategies, deliver creative campaigns, contribute to various channels and analyse the effectiveness of different avenues.
You'll support a wide range of business areas to publicise the advancements we facilitate and build further engagement and support for the discoveries and advancements Genomics England are making towards personalised genomic medicine in the UK.
You'll own many internal engagement projects, but your overall aim will be to educate the general public about the potential of genomic medicine, to dispel myths about DNA and genomics, to encourage participation in genome sequencing, and to increase the uptake of genomic medicine.

Skills and Experience for Success
We anticipate the ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience of successfully designing, planning, managing, delivering and measuring stakeholder engagement plans across a major complex delivery programme.
* Experience of working in a complex, politically nuanced organisation and managing multiple stakeholder relationships. Effective at building trusted relationships, negotiating and influencing at executive and board level.
* Solid expertise in promoting and marketing campaigns to targeted audiences, developing supporting collateral and maximising attendance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral; ability to quickly establish and maintain positive and mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
* Comfortable with media relations with a sound grasp of digital and social media technologies and a highly creative approach.
Qualifications
Degree educated or equivalent
