SF Recruitment are working with a West Midlands based service business to source a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the European FD, this role will be responsible for managing all of the company's transactions across the UK, to include accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. You will also be responsible for ensuring effective controls are in place and observed across all finance operations.
You will play a pivotal role in the Finance team and will be proactive in your approach in order to drive process improvements within finance. Your ability to develop and nurture the team under your charge is of utmost importance in this role and you will have had previous experience of carrying this out. Accuracy of financial reporting and efficiency of processes are key elements of this role. Your technical and inter-personal skills will really come into play in this role as you ensure that governance processes and frameworks are documented and adhered to and that deadlines and quality targets are met.
Ideally you will have worked in a long term contracting business previously where revenue and cost recognition issues have been dealt with as your 'bread and butter'.
