A global leisure and travel business is looking to recruit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified candidate to join its finance function.
Working for one of the companies within the group this is a standalone role whole focus is to proactively manage all the group accounting and tax obligations and deliver continuous improvement to the reporting cycle as well as providing technical accounting guidance to the finance teams. You will work at a senior level across the group.

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified either looking for your first move from practice or in a reporting role in industry. This is a chance to work for an iconic brand in the leisure and travel sector.

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure that all corporate transactions are correctly and timely reflected in the relevant accounting books and clearly explained to auditors.
- Provide accounting support for acquisitions/disposals and involvement in key group finance projects (where appropriate).
- Own the group consolidation process, enhancement of controls and efficiency of process of reporting cycle
- Write year-end guidance notes to Finance and non-Finance team members to ensure smooth and planned approach to year end.
- Supervise the preparation entity level statutory accounts of overseas companies in accordance with local regulations..
- Implement and maintain Group accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS
- Drive the group corporate simplification project alongside group tax and group finance to reduce the number of companies in the group
- Ensure all UK and overseas corporate compliance obligations are adhered to.
- Drive the implementation of a new financial reporting and consolation tool and integrate it with the management reporting system.
- Drive the implementation of enhancements to the financial reporting cycle
