A valuable opportunity has arisen within a notable national water treatment/environmental consultancy known for their provision of specialist services to high–profile clients across the UK. They currently have a vacancy for a professional, commercially motivated and tenacious Water Hygiene Business Development Manager based in and around the North East area. The role will be 100% sales based, so the successful candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of the water treatment / legionella market and have a proven track record of growing and managing a water hygiene department through the selling of services. The candidate must be able to demonstrate solid business and management acumen and the ability to generate and follow up new business leads. In return the company are offer the right candidate the opportunity to grow and develop within a industry leader, alongside a competitive salary and 60k OTE. Consideration will be given to applications from Tyne and Wear, Yorkshire, Durham, and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must come from a strong water hygiene background with excellent industry specific knowledge and experience.
Must have a strong educational, sales, business development, management and technical background.
Experience in a business development role within the water treatment industry is essential.
Experience over–seeing and developing a portfolio of water hygiene / treatment accounts.
Proficient IT skills including using the Microsoft Office Package.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers and staff of all professional levels.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Identifying areas of growth and developing new business.
Manage existing accounts whilst sourcing new ones.
Get involved with the sales, commercial and financial side of the business – promoting the company's water treatment services.
Produce quotations and submit tenders.
Develop and monitor business forecasts and budgets.
Maintain a professional relationship with clients/customers.
Achieving targets and goals.
Development of staff by providing mentoring, further training etc.
Developing plans for new clients and suppliers – contracts or services.
