Head of Procurement
Carlton Packaging are looking for a Head of Procurement who will lead the development and implementation of the Company's procurement strategy and support our ambitious growth plans.
Head of Procurement Responsibilities:
– Ensure that the substantial growth of the company is facilitated by the procurement team.
– Measurement of departmental success through the introduction, recording, use and review of key performance indicators.
– Continue to develop win–win supplier partnerships that meet our operational and strategic objectives.
– Work cohesively with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activity is aligned to wider business goals.
– Streamline the procurement department ensuring stock levels are in line with working capital objectives and cost prices are negotiated to the most competitive available.
– Lead, coach and develop the team, creating an environment where employees are clear on the company, department and individual goals and are supported to reach their potential.
– Part of the Company's senior management team, inputting into overall Company strategy, acting as a role model to others and supporting a positive team culture across the organisation.
Head of Procurement Requirements:
– Leadership of a procurement /purchasing department in a similar related industry/ across similar categories.
– Development of Company procurement strategy, able to think strategically and deliver operational excellence.
– CIPS and degree level qualification.
– Experience in global sourcing.
– Expert relationship builder across range of external and internal stakeholders.
– Continuous improvement mindset, can demonstrate the value they have added throughout their career.
– Able to engage the team with the overall vision and manage against clear deliverables.
– The potential to grow and develop in line with the business.
– Experience of working in a high growth organisation desirable.
