Finance Director

Finance Director, Ripon, £70-90K + Benefits

Our client is a rapidly growing construction company who is seeking a Finance Director for their head office function based near Ripon. Reporting to the CEO your role will be instrumental in managing existing project finance as well as the strategic development of the company expansion.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Medium/Long Term Financial Planning
• Oversee lending requirements and control of existing finance facilities
• Assist in negotiation and securing development funding
• Analysing and reporting on financial performance
• Developing and implementing accounting policies
• Working on new work streams and complementary markets
• Assist in the financial planning of specific projects
• Managing cashflows
• Preparing forecasts and budgets for the group and each individual SPV
• Managing finance & draw downs for specific developments
• Co-ordination with operations for ongoing funding during construction projects
• Liaison and coordination with external accountants and auditors
• Filing confirmation statements and other company returns
• Reporting to Directors & Shareholders

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE is essential
• Experience of the construction sector is essential
• Previous finance director experience is preferred
• Experience of implementing ERP systems is highly desirable

Our client is looking for either an experienced finance director or a financial controller / finance manager with aspirations of becoming an FD. This role will be supported by a team of 2 and therefore you must be hands on in your approach. The successful candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of the finance function and for providing financial management, analytical support and commercial guidance to the business. You will have a hands-on commercial attitude, be a driven individual and have a proven track record of providing commercial support to operations.
