Brief
A requirements for an experienced Project Manager for the R&D Hardware team. The person in this role will be responsible for the planning, tracking and reporting of the hardware projects they will be managing.

What are my responsibilities?
* Prepare project schedules and cost estimates.
* Track progress and cost against the planned schedule and cost.
* Manage risk and issues arising on the projects
* Prepare project reports and present them to the management for review
* Manage internal and external stakeholders
* Guide / Mentor Junior Project Managers

What do I need to qualify for this job?
* Experience of managing hardware projects (ideally those involving electro mechanical / Electronic development)
* General Project management experience of at least 5 years
* Experience with managing both internal and external customers
* Maintain project schedule and generate reports
* Managing risk and reporting issues to management
* Present project reports to the management
* Knowledge of office tools like Excel for any metric/ KPI analysis.

Desirable
* Knowledge and experience of agile methods in hardware development
* Knowledge of supply chain processes
* Background knowledge of mechanical engineering / electronics
* Certified by a professional project management body such as APMP or PMI
* Experience in hardware development for the Rail industry
* Experience in safety critical development
