A top client is seeking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager located in Glasgow.
Contract Position
About the role:
Supporting the project Manager, ensuring site activities comply with programme deadlines, planning consents, Contractual requirements, and SHE legislation. Ultimately achieving the safe delivery of a large onshore transmission substation or the associated cable installation works on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Develop strong and effective relationships with the main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, stakeholders and the community.
Provide support to the Project Manager, and work alongside the Clerk of Works, by providing efficient and accurate reports on site progress Represent the Project Manager at site meetings and support with coordinating aspects of the project site delivery including enabling activities, liaison with 3rd parties, commissioning and Operations interfaces
What you will need:
Demonstrable experience working on large capital projects coupled with knowledge in the following:
Reporting and management requirements that come with such a role.
Experience of personal responsibility in the delivery of large capital projects.
Experience of construction health and safety legislation practices, including the CDM regulations.
Experience in aspects of major civils and industrial buildings construction.
Good organisational and communication skills and be confident challenging others in open discussion.

Essential functional/technical Skills
Good user knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products
Report writing
