The Role

The firm are looking for a proficient Construction Senior Associate / Partner (non-contentious) to join their busy city centre department in Leeds.

You will work closely with the other Partners within the Construction department, and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team.

The firm is unrivalled in the size and breadth of clients, covering a variety of funders, developers, contractors and sub-contractors. Project sectors include mixed use developments, housing developments, energy and renewables, infrastructure, retail and office development to make for a very interesting role.

You will work on a range of non-litigated matters such as the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, initial procurement and strategic advice on risks following completion.

This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda. The firm are succession planning are keen to find the next generation of senior Lawyers.

Requirements
  • You will be a Construction Solicitor (non-contentious) with at least 8 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of PQE, there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • You will be used to dealing with a non-contentious caseload
  • You will have a strong technical knowledge and first-class communication skills
  • You will have good experience of dealing with large settlements
  • You will have strong business development capabilities
  • Experience of overseeing a team is desirable, however not essential
