A progressive and commercially-oriented City law firm with a dynamic and enterprising approach seeks an enthusiastic Business Analyst who will be based in their London office.

Working in a collaborative and creative environment, which is flexible, transparent and friendly, the successful applicant will be part of a new programme delivery function, tasked with ensuring an ambitious portfolio of business change and technology projects are delivered on time and in line with the firm's objectives and strategy. You will be responsible for eliciting and documenting the firm's business requirements and ensuring solutions are designed and delivered in line with them. Reporting to the Head of Programme Management, the Business Analyst will help to establish the project delivery function, which will involve designing and implementing internal processes and governance arrangements and will work with other business services colleagues to define the scope and remit of the team and its position in the firm. Key duties will include undertaking consultation, interviews and workshops with diverse stakeholder groups, at all levels of seniority across both fee-earning and business services divisions, and with clients; analysing requirements and providing clear, concise and objective analysis; documenting requirements and process flows; helping to develop business cases and project plans, measuring progress and success against them; and developing and running test and acceptance programmes.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will possess previous experience working as a Business Analyst with a proven track record of successful project delivery in a law firm or other professional services firm. A good working knowledge of different analysis techniques and methods and of testing approaches and methods and understanding of different software development life cycles and methods will be essential as will a strong ability to learn and understand complex business processes and help to model new systems and procedures. Self-motivated and directed, the Business Analyst will possess outstanding organisation, communications and interpersonal skills and a strong ability to deal with difficult and demanding situations.
