Rising star of UK engineering , design and manufacturing based in Bristol are looking for a strong Project Manager to help manage the product development and release into the regulated US market.

Client Details

Groundbreaking business based in Bristol . They are continuing on their meteoric rise and expansion. After the huge success of their existing products their award winning brand has built a very strong reputation in the market and their products remain in high demand. They are looking cement their position as market leader with further releases next year into more operating regions. This has led to the expansion of the Project Management team and this new and vitally important Project Manager position.

Description

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

You will take the lead project management role in managing and delivering the critical regulatory aspects of the latest innovative product development project
You will be working hand in hand with our internal regulatory, design, project management and leadership teams to ensure all work is completed at the right time and to the right quality
Maintaining our project time line is critical, you will champion and drive the work to achieve the project milestones. You will highlight blockers so we can remove or overcome them as a team
We are working with an external partner to execute and report on the regulatory testing, you will manage the interface between this external partner and our internal teams
We have an external consultant to guide us on the content of our regulatory submission to the FDA – you will leverage their expertise and connect them into our teams to ensure the submission has the best chance of being successful
Whilst the FDA submission document is owned by our Regulatory & Quality team, you will oversee the compilation of this submission document – ensuring the content is compiled on time and, by working closely with our teams, that the content is correctProfile

Experience and requirements:

Available to start immediately
At least 5 years of commercial experience as a project manager or programme manager or have delivered commercial projects , with the desire and capability to deliver fast paced projects with tight deadlines
Experience of controlled and dependency based project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, and/or APMPMQ
You consider clear, concise communication to be one of your biggest strengths
You are comfortable dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority and are able to build relationships quickly to make an immediate impact
You have a solid understanding of how to project manage and can support it with judicious use of the right tools and processes to increase the chances of project success
You're hands on, you roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, you don't expect others to do the work for you but you know when and how to collaborate with others to get things done
You're an initiator and you make sure things get done. You're comfortable delegating as well as drawing attention to actions that must be taken for the project goals to be met
You have experience of working without boundaries, and thrive in environments where you can be instrumental in navigating through ambiguity to deliver a project
You have a range of experiences that have given you a comprehensive understanding of the challenge in balancing scope, time and cost
Beneficial but not essential: knowledge of product regulatory testing and submission requirements: 60601, bio–compatibility, 510(k) submissions to FDA. Medical device development experience would also be helpful but not essential
Experience with using tools to manage projects e.g. Jira, Pivotal Tracker, Asana, SmartSheet, MS Project
Excellent problem solving skills
Experience of working with cross functional teams and understanding of the benefit of truly coordinated activities
Experience of working with a range of stakeholders on a project, from the in–house teams (engineering, finance, sales, operations) to external contractors and senior management
Excellent communication skills, both technical and non–technical with the ability to write reports, present, and discuss resultsJob Offer
