Associate Director – Smart Buildings & BMS – MEP
City of London

A large multidisciplinary consultancy based within the city of London is looking to recruit an Associate Director of Smart / Intelligent Buildings & BMS to join their award winning MEP Design Office.
With a world recognised brand this London office strangely encompasses a tight knitted personable feel.
The business has recently been focusing its efforts on further developing its Smart / Intelligent Buildings & BMS offering is now at a stage to bring someone in at an Associate to Associate Director level to run and continue the growth of this division.
You will ideally have 8+ years experience within Building Services, Solid Smart / Intelligent Buildings & BMS experience and have the ability to run teams, deliver projects and handle the commercial aspects of projects whilst ensuring client satisfaction.
Solid communication skills are essential for this role, both internal communication and external.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead and Develop the Smart / Intelligent Buildings & BMS offering in the UK and Europe.
* Co–ordination of Smart / Intelligent Buildings & BMS design with other building services disciplines and with external parties such as architect or client delivery teams.
* Interface with the project teams to plan and define the various MEP, Controls and Digital Building requirements from a technical perspective for projects.
* Where required brief MEP Consultant teams on requirements for due diligence for capital projects
* Review & critique third party building Due Diligence reports, providing advice on Lease requirements
* Support teams with defining MEP and Building Controls strategy for projects,
* Review MEP, Controls and Digital Building Standards and advise on any version required improvements to suit regions
* Peer review third party MEP and Controls and Digital Buildings design documentation for key projects at milestone Gateways (RIBA appropriate stages). Such monitoring shall include review of drawings and specs and periodic review with the project teams and consultants to solve any emerging issues in a timely manner.
* Attend design meetings as required to support assigned projects
