About the opportunity–

Are you an Internal IT Manager (or similar) looking for a move into a Project Manager role? This may be the perfect role for you.

Littlefish are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support our customer. You will be responsible for the "end to end" delivery of technical and business changes, including all project communications, RAID management, project change control, project, budget tracking, and resource management.

A large part of this job revolves around managing the installation of IT and communications for sites and offices anywhere in the mainland UK

Duties and responsibilities

Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the business requirements for the project, carry out an initial assessment of the Non–Standard Request (NSR)
Design the solution and define project deliverables and resource requirements
Discuss requirements with any 3rd Party suppliers and obtain quotations
Create final costed proposal for review
Dependent on size and complexity of NSR, manage the delivery of projects through the complete lifecycle from inception through to operation. This will include ensuring that the project is delivered on time, meets quality expectations and is within the agreed budget
Effectively plan for business readiness including identifying training requirements, migration planning and execution and system cutover to ensure smooth transition from project delivery to business as usual minimising operational impact
Contribute to the continued development and support of existing solutions through demonstration of best practice techniques and knowledge transfer
What we are looking for from you

Must be willing to travel to client locations as required to complete project requirements
Prince 2 (Practitioner)
Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure required for Office site Setup,
Good knowledge of networking roles / technologies, Switches, Routers, Site to Site TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS, ADSL, VLAN, VOIP phones, DHCP
Good Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Office 365, Multi–Function Device Printers, Print Queues, Cisco Wireless Access Point capability and installation
Some understanding of Cisco Wireless Access Controllers, Cisco Small Business switches, Sophos UTM firewalls would be an advantage
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Conduct internal handovers into support upon project completion.
