Job Title: Legal Counsel - 6 Month FTC
Location: North London
Basic Salary: Up to £70k Pro-rata'd
Douglas Scott are working with a leading services business operating within the healthcare sector, on the search for Interim Legal Counsel. The business are focused on developing their in-house legal function and this role will support the Head of Legal in developing a stronger in-house legal team. Although the position is an initial 6 month contract, there's a good chance it could extend and for the right person, even become a permanent role.
The successful candidate will work alongside the head of and various other stakeholders, providing legal advice across a large range of areas affecting the business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating the full range of commercial agreements running through the business.
• Supporting on corporate governance projects.
• Regulatory and Compliance - Assessing various regulatory initiatives affecting the business such as GDPR etc...
• Any wider legal issues including Employment/HR/Reward/Insurance.
The ideal candidate will be:
• Qualified Solicitor (4-6 PQE as a rough guide but other PQE levels will be considered).
• Professionals services experience will be beneficial.
• Some experience of public procurement rules would be an added bonus but not crucial.
Working pattern:
• Working from home is currently in place but should the contract extend/go permanent and things go back to normal an ability to get to the office occasionally would be good. The business operate as a flexible employer though and did pre-Covid so 5 days a week in the office wouldn't be required.
