Project Manager – Infrastructure & Control Services
Role Summary
The IOG2 Project Manager – Infrastructure & Control Services role reports into the Senior Project Manager IOG2.
The role has accountability, via the establishment and management of the appropriately resourced organisation structure, for the aspects of the IOG2 delivery that relate to the Infrastructure and Control Services.
The Infrastructure comprises (but not limited to):
Physical layer, network layer, VMWare layer, physical installation of appliances;
Operating systems, AD, WSUS, Netscaler, SQL, SAN, Sheep dip, Thin Client connectivity;
Design of the above items;
Installation into 4 production sites plus Pre–production and Development sites;
System test of this area in the Development site.
Pre–Production and Production testing for handover to live.The Control services comprises (but not limited to):
PKI, Solar Winds, CASD, Splunk;
Design of the above items;
Installation into 4 production sites plus Pre–production and Development sites;
System test of this area in the Development site.
Pre–Production and Production testing for handover to live.The Project Manager is expected to demonstrate through his/her own behaviours the team values, as agreed for the IOG2 contract, of delivering value, straight talking, delivering on promises, fairness, integrity, tenacity and working in partnership.
The Project Manager is expected to fulfil the Project Goals as described.
The role is full time and based, primarily at our site in Bracknell, however regular visits to the customer's sites are also envisaged.
A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered
Key Responsibilities
Generic Project Responsibilities
Manage plan: Manage a fully resourced/L3 project plan, progress weekly, track and itemise delay against baseline
Manage Risks and Issues: Manage, maintain and report the project risks and Issues logs.
Manage Dependencies: Manage, maintain and report dependencies logs, and manage project change against dependency failure
Manage resourcing: Manage the recruitment–to–release of resource. and alignment to budget
Manage cost: Manage, control and track project cost against budget – labour, 3rd and BOM.
Manage Revenue: Manage revenue against plan, acceptance criteria and milestones
Manage Deliverables: Manage contract to RTM and interim/final acceptance criteria
Manage Gateways : Plan and manage ATT, IATO, SRR, LRSB, Go Live and ELS. Responsible for managing project acceptance into service
Manage Change: Agree baseline, and manage change via approved change control (Milestones, LPCR and RFC)
Manage 3rd Parties and BOM: Manage relationship, contract, deliverables, costs and procurement process for 3rd and BOM
Manage Project Highlight reporting: Follow reporting calendar and provide artefacts, internal, and external, and escalate issues/risk in a timely manner at governance.
Client Management: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key client personnel
Team Management: Manage team of delivery managers – PMs, SIM/NIM, implementation managers, PLs etc – to deliver the project
