Our client is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager, ideally with SIPP/SASS
Initially this will be a home–based role however, when Covid restrictions are lifted it will revert to a field–based role. This role covers the South West, including some parts of West London and South Wales. Therefore the successful candidate will live in the South west of England.
Your role:
Promote and sell SIPP, SimplySIPP & SSAS products to Financial Advisers
Interrogation of marketing information, existing databases, FCA website, Financial Adviser websites and any other sources of information to identify business development opportunities. Including analysis of data produced from every Financial Adviser emailing, website hit data & monthly reports
Work pro–actively and contact, call and meet in person Financial Advisers that have existing SIPP & SSAS clients
Establish new FA relationships
Keep relevant databases including Workbooks up to date daily with all actions taken (calls, emails, meetings, teleconferences) and ensure all leads are followed up
Set up and maintain an accurate "pipeline" of potential enquires
Generate reports detailing activities undertaken in the month
Where requested, review and engage with "Execution Only" clients by phone/email
Ensure all activities meet with FCA requirements and keep appropriate records of all activities
Making any press comment unless subject to prior sign off
Making comment or advising on the suitability of a SIPP or SSAS
Build a network of business contacts including surveyors, solicitors,
Systematically capture, maintain and use financial adviser information to inform future sales activity by others, involving recording all activities (e.g. meetings, telephone calls) on
The person:
Essential
Thorough understanding of financial adviser market
Excellent networking, relationship development & management skills
Confident, self–motivated and organised with tenacity, drive & resilience
Previous sales experience or similar role
Good time management skills
Can do attitude and takes pride in work
Ability to work in a team, and with all staff, towards targets
Excellent listening & communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative
Attention to detail
Desirable
Knowledge of SIPP or SSAS market
Marketing and product development skills
Certificate in Financial Planning is desirable
Be working towards J04, J05 or AF3 (or equivalent)
Presentation skills
LinkedIn profile and understanding of how to maximise connections
